American Presidents Project PagePage history last edited by Klaudia 3 months, 2 weeks ago
You will be making an iaspace page for your chosen president (think facebook or myspace-like).
Guiding Question: What does it take to be ranked a "great" president?
You will be assigned to a group of 2 or 3. Each group will be in charge of preparing an assessment of the "presidential greatness" of one "Modern" American President.
When finding examples of the 7 "hats" that a president wears, look at how it was portrayed in the media or seen by the public. These accomplishments may be slightly exaggerated because you are trying to portray yourself as a great president.
ResearchMost of your research should come from the book "Presidents: A Reference History." This is one of the e-books found in the Gale Virtual Reference Library.
Another good book to use for the fun facts should be from the St. James Encyclopedia of Popular Culture. Type in the decade you are searching for (ex. 1940s) and it will give you a pretty good list to work with.
